We are very excited for summer! There are a lot of fun things planned for your children. It is also important that every child has sunscreen so we can protect them while they are outside. We will be having some electrical work done this month. We are installing hand dryers in the bathrooms and all new lighting in the entire building. Please excuse the construction.

Happy Father’s Day to all of our amazing dads on Sunday the 17th. Thank you for all you do for your fantastic children. Doughnuts with Dad will be held on Friday June 15th from 5:00 AM – 10:00 AM in the gym. Come a few minutes early and enjoy a treat with your kids!

Infants, Waddlers, & Toddlers

Our tiny babies are working on holding their own bottles and cups and many of our Waddlers are learning to walk! Please check your baby’s extra change of clothes to make sure they have everything they need and that their clothes are weather appropriate. We will be having a water day on June 13th. We will have small tubs of water to splash hands and feet in and spray bottles. The babies will not get soaking wet. Please let Karla know if you have any questions. Please remember to use the West door when entering the Infant or Waddler room so we can keep outside shoes off of the carpet as much as possible. And of course, don’t forget to check our diaper board regularly. Thank you!

2 YEAR OLDS

Miss Nicolle – Happy Father’s Day to all you great dads! We are excited to make special projects for you. Don’t forget Doughnuts with dad on the 13th. We will also be having an ice cream party on June 12th. This summer we will be reviewing all of our shapes, colors, counting, and ABC’s. Please remember to label all of your child’s belongings to prevent mix ups. Make sure that your child’s change of clothes in his or her cubbie is weather appropriate. Don’t forget to check your child’s art folder and take their daily note off the door each day. We want to welcome Teacher Teri to our class! She is loving and wonderful and will be helping out in our room. Potty Training Tip: Don’t rush your child into potty training. Wait until they show signs of interest.

Miss Mayra – Happy Father’s day to our great dads! Hat Day is June 8th. This month we are working hard on reviewing letters A-F and numbers 1-10. Please review at home too. Don’t forget to take blankets home on Fridays to be washed and returned on Monday. If you received a note about sunscreen please bring some in as soon as possible. Please do not bring toys from home. These toys very often get lost or create fights. Please leave them at home or in the car. Please label all your child’s belongings to prevent mix ups. If you take something on accident please return it to the teacher and check our classroom whiteboard regularly for announcements. Please bring your child to class in a clean diaper/pull up and check the coat hooks for any accidents that may have happened. Remember to feed your child before they come if they will be missing a meal here. Our activities and curriculum begin right after breakfast at 9:00 AM. Don’t miss the wonderful lessons we have planned. Happy Birthday Max on the 12th.

3 YEAR OLDS

Miss Yoli – Happy Father’s Day to our dads! We are working very hard this month on counting objects and reviewing letters R-F and their sounds. Please continue to help your child practice writing their name. We will be reviewing all the letters of the alphabet throughout the summer to prepare for the pre-kindergarten class next year. Please donate any child friendly magazines so we can use them for art projects. Please check your child’s cubbie to make sure they have a full change of clothes (everything from top to bottom including underwear) that is weather appropriate. It is also very important that your child has labeled sunscreen here. We are going outside at least twice a day and we need a sunscreen release form filled out as well as a bottle of your preferred sunscreen. Thank you!

PRE – KINDERGARTEN

Thank you to everyone who helped with our graduation. I am so proud of the progress and accomplishments my class had this year. I know they will do amazing in kindergarten. This summer we are focusing a lot on review. We will be revisiting everything we learned this year so the children have a nice refresher. It is now that time of year when the sun shines bright and we play outside! Therefore, it is very important that every child has a labeled bottle of sunscreen here and that every parent signs a sunscreen release form. Don’t forget Doughnuts with Dad on Friday June 15th. We want to show our appreciation to all of you wonderful Dads!

SUMMER CAMP

We are so excited to start another year of Summer Camp. We are going to have a blast. Just some reminders about how to come prepared to Summer Camp: Make sure to wear socks and sneakers on ALL field trips (no flip flops). Bring a filled water bottle every day. Pack a full change of clothes, a labeled bottle of sunscreen and chap-stick in their backpack. Every week Teacher Deana and Judy will send home a note that explains what we will be doing for the week outlining each day and giving you a description of what your child needs to do/bring in order to be prepared.

SCHOOL AGE / SUMMER PROGRAM

Our wonderful Teacher Judy will be doing Summer Camp for the next couple of weeks. Teacher Kimberly will be heading up summer program. She is fantastic and has been working in all of our classrooms. She is a familiar face to many of the children and we know that the children will love being with her.
